6/19/11 PM trip Belmar stripers

Was not expecting too much in the way of stripers as reports were scarce. We were planning to chunk the rocks as there are some fish there. Got a call from a friend that he was trolling some fish and we joined him for 2 quick fish in the box. The bass did a disappearing act on us and the search was on. Took a ride and marked some fish and put the spoons out again with a stretch 25 down the middle. Soon the stripers were hitting with all the lures working. Around 7:00pm we had 3 fish on and the fish finder lit up with the big red arches. We started live lining the few bunkers we had and the fish attacked the boat eating the livies, dead and chunked bunkers. I had a few bites on a popper with fish that were following hooked fish but did not connect. One of the better bites we have seen this year with an easy boat limit for 6  guys.
